Short Course Speaker Benefits

Thank you for your contribution to IEDM! In lieu of a lump sum honorarium, Short Course Speakers will receive the following:

• $500 credit towards your room at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square. Hotel information is noted below. Your credit will be coordinated by Conference Management and applied upon checking into the hotel.

• Complimentary registration to include access to all tutorials, short courses, and technical sessions. You will receive an email from Conference Management with a promotional code to waive the registration fee for your badge.

IEDM Speaker Dashboard

IEDM has implemented a Speaker Dashboard to keep all the relevant details and action items in one convenient place. This is where all future communications and action items will be based. Use of the dashboard is mandatory and is the only place where speakers can view/upload a new bio and headshot. Speakers will be sent an email in early October with instructions and link to create an account. If you need that information resent please send a request to iedm-info@ieee.org.

The following action items are due soon, so make sure to create an account and review your dashboard as soon as possible:

• August 19

  • Presentation title, speaker photo, speaker bio and 150 word abstract due to Short Course Chair

• October 1

  • Preliminary presentation slides to Short Course Chairs

• October 31

  • Final presentation slides due to Short Course Chairs

• November 10

  • Last day to reserve a hotel room at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square at the conference rate. Availability is limited, rates are available until November 10 or until sold out, whichever is first.

• November 25

  • Short Course Speaker Breakfast response is due

  • Register for Conference (Speakers must present in person)

Short Course Speaker Breakfast

The Short Course Speaker Breakfast will be from 7:30am-9:00am on December 8 in Union Square 24. This is an important breakfast to attend since your organizer will discuss the flow and structure of the course. Please respond with your attendance no later than November 25.

Presentation Resources
Short Course presentations will be videotaped live at the conference and posted OnDemand beginning on December 16. Short Course speakers do not need to upload an MP4 video of their presentation. Visit the following links for instructions on preparing your presentation:

Speaker Ready Room
All speakers must bring an electronic copy of their presentation (PowerPoint or PDF-Adobe Acrobat) and upload in the Speaker Ready Room, Union Square 1, at IEDM at least one day before their presentation. Alternatively, the speaker-ready room will have QR code available for speakers to upload their slides/presentation.
